Exterior Wood Restoration

As anyone who lives in the South knows, exterior wood only lasts so long…but sometimes the breakdown is so gradual that we forget what our homes could look like! This week, we’re looking at the magic that happened when we replaced the exterior wood soffit, fascia, and siding on this home.

Starting out, we take a look at the old eaves, once white, now turning black and rotten:

With new LP Smartside® soffit and fascia trim installed, the eaves are good to go once again:

Another before, during, and after from the back of the house:

While most of this home is brick, some of the exterior walls were covered in old Masonite® siding…which we removed and replaced with LP Smartside® lap siding and trim:

And everywhere we installed new siding, we also painted it with Sherwin Williams® paint:

Not only did we replace the siding, soffit, and fascia, we also removed the old roof shingles and replaced them with Tamko® Heritage shingles in the Rustic Slate color:

The transformed home, beautiful and peaceful in the sun, no longer rotting away at the seams:

Do you have wood siding or trim on the exterior of your home? When was the last time you took a good look at it? Take a minute when you get home tonight and make sure that your house isn’t rotting away around your ears…and if you find that it is, you know who to call! (870) 845-1121
