Summer Porch Additions

It’s a beautiful home, certainly, but if you look closely, you can see there’s a problem: water. There’s water standing all in front of the door and even on the sidewalks. Not exactly ideal for those summer parties.

So we came in and we did a little extra dirtwork to allow the water to drain properly. Then we set up forms so we could pour concrete for a new porch:

A porch isn’t a porch without a roof. This gentleman opted for a white metal look for his porch:

And the front porch is complete; a dry, protected place to welcome guests or just spend some time outside:

But we didn’t just stop there: the backyard got some attention too. Here the dirtwork and setting up forms is in progress:

What are your thoughts? Wood and shingles are more traditional choice for a porch, but the white metal does complement his house well. If you were going to add a porch or two on your house, which would you choose?
